Director’s Comment
“<200 Pounds Beauty> has characters which have their own difficulties same as my first film <Oh! Brothers>. I want it to be useful for people to dream the hopeful life thru them. To find one’s identity is what I considered deeply since I planned to make this film. Also, I intend to show that you can find happiness from everything around you.”

Born in 1971, director Kim Yong-hwa majored in film at ChungAng University. In 2000, He made his graduation short film ‘Salty Fish’. The film got him invited to international film festivals such as the Rochester International Film Festival and Houston International Film Festival, where he won prizes. He made his feature debut with the box office hit <Oh! Brothers> in 2003.
