In "China Strike Force", Aaron Kwok plays a Chinese Public Security officer who joins force with the vivacious Norika Fujiwara, an undercover Interpol agent from Japan, to battle an international drug ring backed by corrupt government officials. They will be supported by a solid international cast of performers, including Ruby Lin and Wang Leehom. The first-time partnership of the multi-talented Kwok, who has a huge fan base in Asia, and Norika Fujiwara will guarantee a rousing reception across the region and beyond.

Information about Director:

Stanley Tong, one of the most talented and commercially successful film directors of the last decade, is to team up with Hong Kong superstar Aaron Kwok and top Japanese actress Norika Fujiwara in his first Asian project since 1996. The film also stars U.S. famous rap artist Coolio and action star Mark Dacascos from U.S. TV series "Crow".

Tentatively entitled "China Strike Force", this US$8,000,000-budgeted contemporary action thriller from Tong’s own screenplay will commence production in June 2000 with principal location in Shanghai, Hong Kong, the Philippines and the United States. It is scheduled for international release in spring 2001.

Tong’s proven track record and his ability to handle top stars in mega-budget action adventures is without peers. His collaboration with Jackie Chan on "Super Cop", "First Strike", "Rumble in the Bronx" — the film that finally launched Jackie’s long overdue Hollywood career — was widely successful and critically acclaimed. After his debut in Hollywood in 1997, directing Leslie Nelsen in "Mr. Magoo" for Disney, Tong produced and directed the top-rated television series "Martial Law" for CBS, which also made a household name of Hong Kong’s Samo Hung. The worldwide box-office of Tong’s films to date now easily surpass US$25,000,000!

Filmography:

Barbie Tung, who produced all of Tong’s Jackie Chan films, will co-produce "China Strike Force" with Hollywood veteran Andre Morgan, whose glittering production credit includes "The Cannonball Run". "China Strike Force" has enormous commercial potential and it should prove itself to be an appealing investment vehicle and one of the most anticipated films of 2001.
