Date of release: December 21, 2000

Flash lights bustling, thousands of attendees, beautiful models walking on the stage built around the Shanghai Opera House featuring China’s top young designer Ruby Lin. The audience makes up of crème de la crème from top political dignitaries and top businessmen, seated at the very sweet spot of the show. A mysterious Black man (Coolio) watches the show from above. Two young and handsome off-duty cops, Darren and Alex watch the charity event in awe – Alex is taken away by girlfriend Ruby’s design talent.

VIP table of Norika (beautiful Japanese), Lau (Young Gangster), Ken (Lau’s Enforcer), Ma (Godfather of Lung Cheng), and Chong (Ma’s brother-in-law). A waiter silently approaches the table and sticks a knife into Chong’s throat. Darren and Alex see the assassin dressed as a waiter running away from the scene of the crime. Darren follows the assailant as Alex stays back to investigate. He sees the beautiful woman, Norika, bents down and slips something out of the victim’s jacket pocket and takes off.

Suspicious of her moves, Alex goes after her for leaving the scene of the crime. Two separate chases follow. Darren is after the Assassin and goes through a series of obstacles and amazing stunts, but when faced with no way out, the Assassin leaps off the bridge at their final fight, and disappears. Simultaneously, Alex follows Norika to the Shanghai Hyatt Hotel as she enters the victim Chong’s room and takes something out of his safe. On returning to her room next door, she realizes that she is surrounded by approaching security and Alex. She quickly changes her clothes and puts on a tough and impressive fight with Alex upon his entrance. She escapes by crashing out of the window, free falling about 10 stories, but miraculously manage to grab a snag cord, steady herself, rappels down the side of the building as masterly as a spider and vanishes.

Police investigate the crime scene along with Darren and Alex seeking evidence for Chong’s murder. Ma’s apparent involvement lead them to Lung Cheng, where he has an opulent mansion. They call on Sheriff Lin, Alex’s prospective father-in-law, who is based there, for help. Although they are able to see Ma, he gives them no help at all. Sheriff Lin them tells them of a very reliable tip off that leads them to a stake out at the Lung Cheng Dock the next day for clues. Lau and Ken show up in a red Ferrari to claim their "prize". Containers of cars are unloaded onto the dock as Darren calls for back up. Realizing they’ve been surrounded, Lau hurries Ken to take off with the goods, as he jumps into the Ferrari for a quick escape. An impressive, elaborate car chase between the Ferrari and Formula 1 racecar ensues, and an exciting shoot-out fight scene follows (between Darren & Lau) Lau manages to escape. While having dinner, Darren and Alex discuss the bust, and Darren finally understands the importance of the old cars they found. He went to the impound lot to investigate. After a lot of searching, he triumphantly finds the drugs stashed underneath the seats of one of the old cars. At that moment he is arrested and taken to Sheriff’s office. There, they discuss Ma’s role in this and decide to wait ad see what happens next. A meeting at the Lung Cheng bathhouse takes place where the "baddest of the bad" have arrived name Coolio, - The ultimate drug-lord from the U.S. – Lau and Low. An uninvited guest arrives during the bathhouse meeting and enters by force…It’s Norika. She wants to join the business and has discreminating evidence (from Chong’s safe). Coolio smells cop, so Norika boldly strips down and joins in the bath with the men – "see, no wires" she smirks. Lau impressed and smitten by her charm & confidence.

Early morning next day, Lau and Coolio arrive at Ma’s mansion and Lau kills him brutally. Lau announces that he has taken over Ma’s business and will partner up with Coolio for the biggest drug delivery ever seen in China. Coolio, impressed by Lau’s recent lethal actions (for killing Chong & Ma), fully endorses his new partner. He calls Norika and Sheriff Lin to come over to the mansion. There, Norika is framed and arrested by Sheriff Lin for Ma’s murder. Norika is interrogated at the police station leading the cops to believe she’s more than a common crook; later revealed, she’s a Japanese Interpol agent sent to get Coolio. They arrange for her release through a lawyer, but put a bug on her. Meanwhile, Coolio and Lau meet at an oil terminal pumping factory, where Coolio tells him the method he is using to smuggle drugs into China. Darren tails Norika with the help of the bugging device and it leads him to the Great World – an amusement arcade. The two arrive at the amusement park where the corrupt Sheriff Lin is meeting Lau for some last minute monetary requests and the major shoot out breaks loose once the Thugs discover Norika’s real identity through Lin. Lin wants his last payment to take daughter Ruby out of the country, but is then killed by Lau. Darren and Alex tries to save Norika but I the midst of the bullet showers, Alex dies heroically. Norika still in the hands of the Thugs (Coolio, Lau, and gang), now is taken hostage and Darren finally track them down in Hong Kong. Darren on a quest to save Norika and revenge Alex, he pursues them relentlessly and defeats the gang in a high-octane action sequence involving helicopters, and fights on al large glass pane producing see-saw action with Darren and Norika as the last survivors.
